The course raises awareness around young people’s mental health and gives participants a deeper understanding of the issues that relate to student and staff mental health. You will be given a set of practical skills to spot the early signs of mental ill health and the confidence to signpost someone to support – whether that’s through self-help resources, university counselling services, the NHS, or a mix.
Based on the two day Youth MHFA course, the training courses have been designed specifically with higher education settings in mind. The courses are suitable for teachers, support staff and parents and anyone who works or studies in a university environment.
At the end of the day, everyone will receive a certificate of attendance and a copy of the Youth MHFA manual for Higher Education which is an excellent reference and support resource.
